Our main goal is to provide educational programs, materials, clothing, funds for
food and medical/dental expenses to needy orphanages and orphans and arrange international
adoptions. Since May of 1998 AURORA has contributed significant funding to these areas for food,
medical/dental expenses, clothing, remodeling and repairs, furniture, educational programs and
other needs. This year we starting to organize three new programs in Ukraine,Kazakhstan and Armenia.
We believe that the best way to support the orphanages in Ukraine is to buy humanitarian
supplies in Ukraine and have our staff personally deliver the supplies directly to the orphanages.
This ensures that the much-needed supplies go directly to the children, and helps support the
local economy as well.
Help for invalid children
From the very beginning of our humanitarian mission in Ukraine AURORA has
given special attention and care to children with disabilities, both medical and psychological.
We have arranged for dozens of surgical procedures, we provide needed medical supplies, we
retain physicians to render general medical attention and have psychiatrists to furnish help
when needed. This is very costly for us and limits the extent of our services financially and
restricts us to hospitals and clinics in nearby areas geographically. Many children would benefit
from the medical services available in the U.S. and if funds were available we would certainly
arrange for the invalid children their arrival, stay and treatment.
We are looking for assistance and support from foundations, private individuals,
corporations, medical groups and governmental agencies.
